Where did all the technical content go?!

Many frequent visitors to DougHughes.net are here for the techical articls by Doug and the Alagad Team. As Alagad grew it became apparent that DougHughes.net was no longer the best place for this content. We've put together a new Alagad.com site which includes a team blog where we'll be posting most of our technial articles.

From this point forward, DougHughes.net will be my personal mouthpiece where I will express ny opinions and views on the tech industry in general as well as other personal topics such as the Duke Peanut Study.

Two Free Alagad Image Component Licenses!

Posted By: Doug Hughes on Jan. 31, 2005 at 1:31 PM

I just posted about my strong desire for a free Mini Mac. I also made the mistake of telling Joe about this and he blogged about it too! So, in the effort to get out in front of him, I'm offering two free Alagad Image Component licenses to anyone who completes one of the offers. Beat that Joe!

I have no spiffy CFC to sell, but I'll buy ya a beer if you're at CFUnited.

I would like to state for the record that I am giving away copies of the Image Component in this offer and that I am not, as Joe implies, selling it in this offer.

Additionally, I will buy a beer for anyone at CFUN who completes an offer. :)

I don't think you can have circular signups.

Posted By Mike on Feb. 3, 2005 at 10:04 AM

Lame, lame, lame. So I have to find 10 people who don't also want a free Mac Mini. Hmm ... this just got more challenging.

Posted By Matt Woodward on Feb. 3, 2005 at 10:17 AM

no matt...you have to find 10 people who DO want mac minis but haven't already signed up.

challenging? yes. lame? no. just the way it works :)

ps - just curious...how far along are you, Doug?

Here are the current stats:

I've completed my offer and they've acknowledged it.

Two others have completed their offer and been acknowledged.

I know of two others who have completed their offer but not yet been acknowledged.

I have a total of 17 referrals, including the two which are complete.

The system has not acknowledged anyone completing anything in two days. Every day around 3pm EST they post the updates. According to the FAQ, the acknowledgement process can take up to ten days.

So, I'm waiting and hoping. :)
